Terms of Service — PolicyAI

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PolicyAI ("Service") at policyai.dev, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these Terms with at least 30 days' notice of material changes.

2. Description of Service

PolicyAI is an AI-powered privacy policy generator that analyses your codebase to detect data collection practices and generates GDPR & CCPA compliant privacy policies. The Service provides informational output — it does not constitute legal advice.

Important disclaimer: Generated policies are starting points based on code analysis. You are responsible for reviewing the output with qualified legal counsel to ensure it accurately reflects your actual data practices and applicable legal requirements.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".

3. User Accounts

Account registration may be required for full access. You are responsible for account security and all account activity. You must be at least 16 years of age.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Submit code you do not have the right to share or analyse
• Use generated policies without reviewing them for accuracy
• Represent AI-generated policies as independently verified legal documents without review
• Circumvent rate limits or access controls
• Violate any applicable law or third-party rights
• Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission

5. No Legal Advice

PolicyAI is not a law firm. Generated privacy policies are AI-assisted drafts for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice. Always consult a qualified solicitor or attorney before publishing a privacy policy to ensure compliance with applicable laws.

6. Managed Service

The Managed tier includes dedicated policy generation and review support. Managed service terms, including custom SLAs, are subject to a separate agreement.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights in code you submit and in generated privacy policy output. By submitting code, you grant PolicyAI a limited licence to process it for providing the Service. The PolicyAI application and branding are the property of CeciArt Consulting Ltd.

8. Payments and Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew. 14-day money-back guarantee on first Pro subscriptions. Managed tier refunds are subject to the separate managed service agreement. Contact billing@ceciart.io.

9. Free Tier

Limited to 2 policy generations per month. No uptime or support SLA guaranteed.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. POLICYAI DOES NOT WARRANT THAT GENERATED POLICIES ARE LEGALLY COMPLIANT, ACCURATE, OR COMPLETE FOR YOUR SPECIFIC USE CASE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CECIART CONSULTING LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF GENERATED POLICIES.

TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR £100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify CeciArt Consulting Ltd from any claims arising out of your use of the Service, publication of generated policies, or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations. You may terminate at any time via support@ceciart.io.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales with exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
